Spiced Kale



2 servings

1  tablespoon ghee or olive oil
1/4 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
Black pepper to taste 
1/2 bunch of kale, chopped
1/4 cup water, add more if needed

 

In a pot, warm the ghee.
Add the salt, cumin, ginger, and black pepper.  Sauté until the aroma from the spices comes up.
Add the kale and sauté for 1 minute.
Add water and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 8  minutes in a covered pot. 

For a balanced meal, serve warm with protein (beans or meat), rice, and sweet potato.
