Black Bean Burger

 

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  •  1/2 teaspoon Herbamare 
  • 15 oz can Black Beans, drained and rinsed   
  • 1 egg, whisked 
  • 1/3 cup gluten free flour (I like to use almond flour)
  • 1/2 cup organic cheddar cheese, shredded 


-Sauté onion, garlic, bell pepper, cumin, chili powder and Herbamare in olive oil for 5 minutes.  Put sautéed veggies, black beans, egg and flour  into food processor and pulse until well mixed together. 
- Divide the mixture into 6 patties and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake on 350 F for  25 minutes.
